From 1775, the year of its foundation, to 1955, the year of the end of its activity, the publishing house Fratelli Bocca Editori produced more than 1000 volumes concerning a wide range of subjects: from history to literature, from music to science, from art to pedagogy, and also esoterism, psychology, philosophy - the oriental type in particular - 10 reviews and an economic series. Titles and authors are contained in the volume Editoria e Arte a Milano and in the catalogue of Bocca editions of 1953, which is available in photocopies on request.
In 1980 the work starts again under the name of Libreria Bocca editor. On this occasion the Introvabili series was inaugurated with the publishing of I Sonetti di Pico della Mirandola, a hand-printed volume by Martino Mardersteig, with an Enrico Baj original graphic. From 1996, year of foundation of Bocca Editori srl in Rome, the activity turns to high collectionism collectabillity and produces annotated catalogues about great painters of the past, like Marieschi. Other catalogues concern famous porcelain artists, like Giovanni Vezzi, or even master glaziers from Murano, such as Murano 900. The publishing house also creates catalogues of art exhibitions, organised by either local institutions, or antiquarians or international level galleries.
